Our Red Angus program started the way we believe a purebred herd should: not piecemeal, but with conviction. We went to Montana — home to some of the most respected Red Angus breeding in the country — and brought home a load of females from the breed's proven cow lines. Those imports set the foundation, and their daughters and granddaughters carry it today.
On top of that foundation we've stacked sires selected the same way we select everything — pedigrees full of great cows first, performance data second. Follow the latest trend? Never. We find what works for our customers in our environment. Influences like Duff Red Diamond 19532 and Red U2 Township 17G run deep through the herd.
These cattle answer a real demand in this region: fertile, docile, heat-tolerant, efficient red females that thrive on forage and make the kind of mother cows commercial herds are built around.

Malbec carries an ideal, wide muzzle and a head with next-level herd-bull character, flowing into a massive, deep rib cage — and he transmits it, calf after calf. He makes true low-input seedstock. What really sets him apart is the sheer volume of red meat over his topline and down through his lower stifle while staying extremely sound on his feet and legs. His dam, Red U2 Ms Divide 207F, is a stunning, powerful, hard-working female with a perfectly constructed udder.

Red Diamond is a load of red meat that walks on four legs — length of spine, with muscle that bulges from his topline all the way down into his hindquarter. His athleticism, power and eye appeal are uncanny, and he is a rare commodity: a real game-changer for grass efficiency. His calves carry an unmistakable style all their own, and his sons show the masculinity we love in this bull. The full pedigree behind him is pictured below.

A Canadian breed-shaper from U2 Ranch — Township was the $130,000 feature of the 2020 U-2 sale and one of the premiere breeding pieces in the breed, with excellent shape and breed character and maternal strength and efficiency stacked behind him. His daughters are feminine, his sons well-balanced, and the Beauty cow family he comes from is one of U2's best.

One of the newest additions to our Red Angus AI program, Rushmore brings SAV President 6847 into the Red Angus breed — his sire, U2Q President 64H, is a President son out of the herd-building Anexa 333N cow family, regarded as one of the best-footed bulls anywhere.

Another of the new additions to the AI program — Blue Print brings back time-tested, proven older Red Angus genetics: a Glacier Chateau 744 son (by the female-maker LMAN King Rob 8621) out of the RREDS Primrose cow family.

A new addition to the AI program — the 2021 Canadian Western Agribition National Champion Red Angus bull.

Admiral is a foot-quality improver — some of the best feet in the breed — and was the high-selling bull of the 2021 Twedt Red Angus sale, purchased by Erika Kenner of Leeds, North Dakota. A STRA General son out of a Bieber Driven C540 daughter, he posts a 95 birth-weight ratio against a 117 weaning-weight ratio: growth and a bit of frame while staying proven heifer-safe in our herd. His sons bring extra length of body, growth, muscle and masculinity; his daughters carry a very complete, fault-free look.
